Oh yeah. Luna? Flogging Molly in a week! Yeeehaw!

Wow, the Opinions of Zoë and Luna really has died...*sad* Only 11 posts, and the last one from the 4th.

We need more activity in the "forum"

I almost wish I could get into Dr. Who so I could listen to you guys podcast, since it seems that's the direction you guys are moving.

What about Percy Jackson? I read those books, too, so maybe you can talk about them at least when the new one comes out.

Um...yeah, just thought you could use some comment love...

Haha, Emily I hate Vampires too, it's the reason why I fought Zoë so much before I started reading them. And now that I think about it...she should owe me something for making me waste my time with them. Hm...I'll think of something good.

And You NEEEED to see that episode of Dr. Who, it's the best! Capt. Jack is introduced! Series 1, The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances. Amazing.

Wow, I refuse to read the Twilight books purely because I somehow have something against vampires. But your review on Breaking Dawn, that's just...no, just no. It just sounds so terrible.
I'm so tired to cop-out endings & the creators disobeying their own rules I'm half tempted to write my own book.

I love Dr. Who, both the newer ones and the older 70s episodes with Tom Baker. But I've never seen the Mummmy episode. *is sad*

o_0" Ariel... you ish a mormon? And I usually don't think it is a matter of religion as much a matter of imagination, if you can't separate your morality from your characters' then you got a problem

YAY! You're back!!!

Wow, I hated breaking dawn. In my opinion, it doesn't exist. As a matter of fact the whole series doesn't exist anymore.

Hmmm...When I become an author, I'll write a book just so I can prove to you that Mormons really can write. Promise my you'll read it! It's a bad idea let your own personal values get in the way of a story like she did.

Well written pieces of literature follow a specific trend: rising action, climax, falling action, the end. Unfortunately, Breaking Dawn has about an inch of rising action, I can't even tell what the climax was (I mean, then didn't even fight), the falling action was swift, and the rest of the book just dragged on stale and flat until it got the 'happily ever after'

I'm not sure I even want to go into how stupid the pregnancy was.

I think the part of the book that pissed me off the most was Bella's 'transformation'. WTF. Is there any logic behind: well, I wasn't a good human, maybe I'll be a good vampire? The change is supposed to be excruciating pain, and when it's all said and done, the newly born vampires are supposed to be a little bit like mindless zombies in the pursuit of brains. I understand the larger amounts of strength. Baby snakes have extremely potent venom only because they haven't learned to control it!

The the entire Jacob thing. I think I could have been pleased with any outcome but this! I wanted some confrontation about the entire love triangle. Not a cop-out.

There were a lot of characters left out in this one. You hardly hear of any of her 'friends' from school except for a brief mentioning of one or two of their names. (I'm not even sure I remember if they're mentioned at the wedding). Her mother is mentioned.. I think once. I don't think she even has a speaking role in this one at all. (not that she had large roles in the past)

However! Near the end of the book, she sees fit to introduce an entire world of vampires!? There were so many at such a short time, that even she realized there was no way that everybody could remember them all! There's a chart in the back for us...

Then there's the end in itself. There is not epic battle. There was a decent amount of buildup for this one moment. Some training, and Bella's "awesome new power" Oh boy! I was thinking for a moment, 'Man, it's really gunna happen! Maybe it will get good!' But it was kinda just Avatar all over again. =w=;;

So with too much of a buildup at the end, no climax, and an immediate drop into the end, it leaves for a very unhappy reader.

What kind of ending is Everybody lived happily ever after because Jacob and Nessie (God her name) could live with each other for eternity while Edward and Bella went at it like horny rabbits?!

I would have rather had an epic battle where half of the cast died.

(I might come back and rant some more when school is over)

YEY FOR BACKNESS! AND MULTYCAST ROCKS!

Also, Twilight just sucks as far as I am concerned, the whole thing read like a crappy fanfiction, so... well I guess I should sort of explain myself a bit, cause you see...

*Feels like a dork just for talking about it* I am a experienced Vampire: The Requiem storyteller, you probably don’t know what that is, so I’ll elavorate, Vampire: The Requiem and it’s previous incarnation, Vampire: The Masquerade, are deeply developed Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games, much akin to DnD in dinamics, important thing about this is, there have being like 20 years worth of source books and ‘Flavor Novels’ I have read dealing with Vampires and things Vampirie... and I read most of them

So, back on the subject of Breaking Dawn and Twilight in general, from the begining I saw on the books the clasical problems with Vampire Novels, Vampires are supposed to be all secretive and be experts in walking ‘unseen’ amongst humans, yet they all are pale ‘kids’ that go to the cafeteria get food and don’t ever eat a bite from it, use old fashioned ‘noble resounding’ names and dress all in dark colors, they only lacked the capes to be totally in the Vampire cliche... >_>

And well... the book is ridden with cliches, bad ones specially and more importantly, poorly made, by instance Werewolves Vs Vampire thing... if Underworld wasn’t bad enough, we got this, not to mention the descriptions are so... so barely made at all, I doubt any fighting would had worked out too well in those books

And yes, in some crappy versions, male Vampires can somehow impregnate women, not sure how, but they are supposed to be able to do so, to be fair, in Rumanian folklore they could, giving as a result Dhampirs, children of Vampires and their still living wives, supposedly given a measure of power to make them excelent Vampire hunters, but if she made it a rule all fluids Vampire produce are Venom, it really doesn’t make sense... alltho, if Vampire’s saliva is also venom, wouldn’t that... you know... had killed Bella like after the first kiss? And wouldn’t the baby grow really slowly if at all? I mean doesn’t the Vampire curse prevent aging? And before I forget, in the case of the bear mauled Vampire (Don’t even know who the guy is) in Vampire: The Masquerade had this rule that when it was something like that, what happened was every night the guy woke up with the wounds all over his body, he could use blood to heal those, but it was an annoying as shit thing waking up half-ripped apart or shit like that xDD

And yeah, I totally see this mormon chick trying to force her ‘morality’ on her fans... that’s just lame, annying and fucking retarded, at least she could had made Bella mormon too, as to not make it so ridiculous...

Also, stupid mormon women crap! No abortion even if the baby is killing the mother? o_0” Werewolf The Forsaken!? I mean... WTF!!? It just doesn’t make sense at all, which reminds me, the baby would be like super powerful or something? Why did the wolves wanted to kill the Vampire baby anyways? Cause they obviously didn’t wanted to save Bella...

And how does a human drinking blood would help her with the bloodloss? Humans can’t feed from blood... and even if they did, it wouldn’t help her more then eating a stake >_> Blood transfution maybe, drinking blood with a straw... no way in hell...

Anyways this is getting sort of terribly long so...

YEY FOR DOCTOR WHO! Sadly we don’t get SciFi Channel here so I just have being able to catch some episodes on the net, still love it to bits

I am so glad you girls are back!

I'd listen to it! I mean, I listened to Sozin's Comet Book one before I actually read it (I was way too anxious to hear what you had to say...>>) and I still loved it. Granted I knew the characters and everything leading up to it, but you explain the scenes you talk about pretty well so it's not hard to figure it out.
