About Pushing Dasies, I KNOW IT SUCKS IT GOT CANCELLED! Fuck! Another awesome show down the crapper! But, there is the two good posibilities of Movie and Comics, hope its movie, cause it would rock to see a movie with Ned and Chuck and Emmerson and Olivia hehehe
Now, girls, you may be right about it being a ‘for everybody movie’ but I think the posibility of it being a follow up is also quite good, like in the case of Firefly and it’s movie Serenity, which was sort of a Finale even if rushed and sucking cause they killed Wash for no reason what so ever…

Zoe you had my same opinion on the election, though. Luna too. I did not like either candidate. I would have liked McCain more if he hadn’t picked Palin and Luna summed that up pretty well haha. But I did NOT want Obama to win. He doesn’t have enough experience and he basically won because of charisma. He looked good and sounded good talking about change and hope and blah blah. But honestly I hated his policies. Ugh, but anyway..
The whole gay marriage thing…is annoying. I don’t have a strong opinion either way since it doesn’t affect me, but the arguments for and against it are both stupid. For (meaning for the banning) is based on the sanctity of marriage and preserving it which is ok, but at the same time it doesn’t seem to be a strong enough argument. Against the banning we have people saying that it’s giving rights to some people and not others but that’s actually not true. The law applies to everyone, the only difference is what each person wants. Every person has the right to get married, but no one can marry someone of the same gender. It applies to everyone, but obviously straight people don’t want to marry someone their same sex and gay people do. I know I’m gonna get attacked for that, but I’m just saying technically there are not different laws for different people.
Ok, moving away from that, though..the Avatar cast is crap. I don’t care how Jesse’s acting is, he looks nothing like Zuko and the whole race thing is an issue. They could have at least got some tanner people for Katara and Sokka, I mean really. I think of all three of them, though, the guy playing Sokka looks the most like him, all except for the skin tone. And he looks too much older than Katara. It just looked like they didn’t even try. I have a better feeling about the person they got for Aang, even though they don’t have a picture of him, because apparently he’s a karate star so at least he’s bringing something to the table. Any fighting experience from the other actors? Doubt it. They don’t look like the characters and they don’t have any martial arts experience or acting experience. So what reason do they have to pick them?

And I got to agree with you in the whole Avatar cast, tho as a brown person, I take offence in they picking a whole white cast, it’s like saying, yeah we rather have a bunch of black-face kids instead of real Chinese, Japanese, Indian, fuck any Asian, Native American, Afro-American whatever, cause they don’t ‘look right’

On the Gay Marriage…

As things go, they are robbing gay people from that right, to make that much of a strong statement about their love… I feel they deserve it, besides, gay people has as much right to be miserable for the rest of their lives as anyone else xDDDD

Haha, ok. I said this in the shoutbox, and I’ll say it here.
Number 1, this is NOT not not not the official cast. Jesse is a RUMOR and Jackson as Sokka is a RUMOR. They said they were TRYING to get the for the roles, not that they had them. Ok? The only official people are Aang and Katara.
Number 2, They said they wanted unknown or minor actors to play these roles. Jackson just got done with Twilight and they’re about to start working on New Moon. Not only is he too widely known now, but he’s gonna be busy. Granted, Jasper has next to no lines or appearances in New Moon, but regardless, he will be busy and have little time to spare to do a big title movie like Avatar.
Number 3, Jesse Mcfagman is a famous pop star. Everyone knows of him/has heard at least one of his songs either by ‘Oh let’s listen to Jesse Mcfagman’ or while watching a movie. He’s as popular as Hannah Montana and Obama mixed into one (haha he’s the love child of Miley and Barak. XD). Everyone knows him, and he gets a lot of money. His price will be high, and his acting will most likely be low quality. Therefore, why would he get the role?
Number… whatever number is next. Who cares if they’re white or not? This is Hollywood people. They can make someone look white or black or Japanese and everything in between. Ever seen Tropic Thunder? And in Twilight, the girl that played Rose was dark man-they made her look soooooooo white is was ridiculous! They will make them look dark, or white as needed. It doesn’t really matter. If they can make a 5′6 man look like he’s three feet tall, or 12 feet tall, they can make a white girl look Native American/Asian. It will be fine. Don’t panic. o.o
That’s about all I gots to say about the movie. Yup yup. ^^

As far as the racial thing with the Avatar cast, it’s not so much that they can “look ethnic” it’s more, why waste the time making a white guy or girl look dark when they could get a person who’s skin tone is already similar to that of the characters.
Which is even more strange considering the fact that shamalamadingdong isn’t white.
I’m so against this movie right now.

Well, would you rather someone of the correct ethnicity that can’t act or someone that’s white that can act? Not only that, but what if no one but white people audition? Then what? I’m not trying to defend Jesse, cause I don’t like him at all, or Jackson, because I think he’s wrong for the roll. Or the casting director, because you’re right; it’s better to get some darker kids in there rather then these crackers. But you shouldn’t be totally against a movie just because you don’t agree with the RUMORED casting choices =/

Personally I think that McCain didn’t want the presidency once he was nominated by the Republican Party. I think he had second thoughts once he won the nomination and that’s why he chose Palien (sp?) as his running partner. She has even less experience then Obama. In all Honesty I probably would have voted for McCain had he not chose Palien. There was just something off putting about that woman. I couldn’t stand her voice, her look, or her utter lack of knowledge of…well anything! Also at McCain’s age (early 80’s) and with his bad health history, The chance that, even as slim as it might be, he might die in office was to much of a chance Palien could run our country. And that scared me way to much.
Yeah they have advisors and what not, but still in the long run the final decisions lays with our President. And Palin just didn’t inspire trust in me.

MY biggest problem with Matt Smith is the skinny pants. Can’t trust a boy with skinny pants. However I saw a picture of him from (what I’m guessing is the Ruby in the Smoke) where he’s wearing an olde timey hat and his face looks softer and less creepy.
This being my first Doctor change (I started watching from the Christmas invasion, finished series 3, then went back and watched season 1) I just have to imagine that everyone feels this way when the change is upon us and it usually works out pretty well. So I’m going to go ahead and trust the casting for now.

Hey, Just finished listiening to this podcast at work. It ws AWESOME!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! I’m trying to download the latest 3 new podcasts but iTune’s is being a bitch, this is the third time it says there’s some kind of errror.

Ok, I know I’m like a baggilion years late and no one will probably read this anyway but its been bugging me for a long time and I need to get this out.
Prop 8 the musical.
The things they say, the little snippets of verses they take (OUT OF CONEXT) could confuse and seem foolish to anyone who’s never read it. The first thing they bring up is that Christians hate gay.
…Um… no. We don’t hate gay. Granted in every group there’s gonna be that nutjob in there, someone that actually does hate, but as a whole it’s frankly untrue and insulting to generalize us like that just because we think marriage should be one man and one woman. I have a best friend and a few others that are lesbian. I do not hate them. I love them like sisters. And that you guys or anyone else would lay claim that I hate my sister just because of something she’s feeling, hurts. Although! I do not agree or approve of acting on gay/lesbian impulses. But I also wouldn’t condone a heterosexual couple sleeping together outside of marriage. It’s the same thing to me. Both acts are distasteful and harmful.
Why harmful?
AIDS. Homosexuality has been a key contributor in this deadly STD. It’s been transferred not only by bisexuals, but from homosexuals to hemophiliacs through blood transfusions, users that share needles, and other varies ways. Though AIDS is much more common in heterosexuals, it wasn’t even around (or at least prominent) until the gay rights movement in ’69.
Also homosexual behavior is damaging to the person’s psychological well-being.
Research has shown that there is a significantly higher rate of drug and alcohol abuse among homosexuals, certain mental disorders among the males (plus these poor guys have a 75% of lifetime STD incidence rate). As well as physical trauma to the body is a common problem because it is simply unnatural.
Put a woman with a man and they fit naturally. Don’t they? Get past the giggles and think about it. A woman naturally fits into a man, while two men don’t fit together. Same with women. We are not designed to be sexually intament with members of our own gender!
And I can guess what at least half of you are thinking right now. “But it’s genetic! They were born that way!”
*BUZZ!!!* Wrong.
Though for years scientists have tried to push this argument… they have not found any genetic link in the brain to prove that homosexuality is an inborn trait. I’ve done massive amounts of Google-ing on the subject and I’ve only ever found one article posted everywhere that does not give any sort of scientific explanation other then “We believe we have found a connection” and a picture of DNA.
But for arguments sake, lets say it was genetic and inborn. Then explain this:
Twins. They are genetic clones. Down to the last strand of DNA, their make-up is exactly the same. There was a study done on twin’s genetics by Michael Baily and Richard Pillard a while back (is too lazy to look up the date.) These were men trying to prove that it was genetic. But if genetics are determinative of their sexual behavior, why is it in half the pairs of twins they studied, only one of the twins was gay? If it’s genetic (and twins are genetically EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!), wouldn’t both twins (IN EVERY CASE!!!) be gay?
The behavior is NOT genetic. Sure, it could be psychological, but that’s as far as I would let it go.
Question: what society can even survive on souly homosexual practices? Answer: it simply can’t.
Gays and lesbians can’t reproduce with their same sex partners (obviously). Human culture depends for its very existence on healthy heterosexual relationships. If it wasn’t for heterosexual relationships, there wouldn’t even be homosexual ones. If homosexuality was not only a tolerated practice, but legalized in every state, what’s to stop us from pushing the self-destruct button on the human race? If it was taught to children that being gay is accepted and encouraged, what’s to stop us from breeding (or lack there of) ourselves out of existence?
And the majority of you say you’re evolutionists and also believe in gay rights. Fine and dandy. But if you believe in natural selection, wouldn’t nature select homosexuals to be wiped out since they simply cannot survive on their own, thereby eliminating them since they can’t reprouce?
I’m not saying let’s go on a gay witch-hunt and ‘murder all the homos’. Not at all. They are people and should be treated as such. I’m just presenting the other side and asking you to think about everything I’m saying, even if you don’t agree. I would also appreciate it if before you call all Christians dogmatic and intolerant, when in fact, to call us that makes you intolerant of ~my~ personal view and opinion.
And it seems to me that you have had little to no contact, or poorly represented contact with the Christian community. You don’t have to agree with me, or believe what I believe, but do me a favor and don’t lump all religions together and refer to us as uneducated fools because we believe in something. I apologize on behalf of everyone who bares the name ‘Christian’ that has treated you badly. They were wrong, for whatever reason they hurt you. We are not all like them. If they’re off standing on a soapbox with a bullhorn screaming in your face that you’re all going to hell, then they do not represent the God I have come to know, or the God of the Bible even. I disown people like that. I don’t even accept them into the faith I have.

If you have anything else in the video you want me to comment on, I’d be glad to. I have arguments for them. But this post is already a mile long…
So yeah… please let this just be a discussion topic, and don’t you all aim for the jugular… this is just what I believe to be true, and what conclusions I’ve come to after studying the subject for myself. Be civil… please?
P.S. I don’t remember if it was Ghash or Nightscream, or whoever, but one of you compared Samson to Hercules in Greek mythology. Check your timeline. Samson was centuries before the Greek empire had even thought about taking over. If anything, they stole it from us. =)
