SPOILERS! Once again. Yup, this is the Response to the Response of Sozin’s Comet…sort of. We talk about it for like, two seconds…yeahh…
Welp, this is it. Our podcast. And what do we have to say? Nothing. But it’s not our fault!!! There really isn’t anything going on in the world of Avatar at the moment. So, as per usual, we go on tangents and say many many things that we probably shouldn’t be saying. It’s something that you’ve come to expect from us and might even like about us, right…right?

haha, umm, well i wouldnt put this like….up on the comments, btu since he already did…….
umm, jay got cheated on by his whore of a girlfriend with one of his room mates, actually the only guy in the house that wasnt either his cousin or brother….. his name was robbie, her name was stacy, but i call her Jin….. bc shes a whore….. and then he came home from work 2 days l8r and they were….. well, you know….. which is gross bc jay is a total body builder manly man and very cute i might add… but robby is a scrawney, whiney little girl…..ok, basically, its kataang, and jay is zuko…….
and i would never break jays heart, mostly bc hes my big brother (not really, his younger brother is my ex) o and i cant date him, hes 4 yrs older than me, so, it would be worse than kataang, and oedipus put together, lol, but it was a nice thought, and dont feel bad for thinking that, bc he does sleep here sometimes and in one of his comments he said “WE just woke up” so ya, i can understand….
though my cousin JAKE listens to you guys, but NEVER leaves comments, hes making me get your autographs at comic con on a t shirt…..
and we arent from southern california, actually, we are from the bay area in nor cal… dublin, ca….. but still going to comic con…… im making jay dress up as jet, bc he looks like him when he smiles…..

so we’ll see….. i really don’t care what you dress up as, i just can’t wait to meet you guys, and yeah, i’d go to disney land in costume, but im NOT dressing as aang, i’m a 6ft tall ex football player, i don’t think that outfit would look right, aahahahha

Hey I’ve been listening for awhile, but hadn’t commented before. Problem has been that I think of things to comment during the podcast, but when I get to the comment part I forget what it was. And I’m too lazy to go back through the whole thing to find whatever it was that I wanted to comment on. But this time I decided I needed to comment, so here it is.
I’m a huge Avatard and a Zutarian, and I’d love to be on the shirt as: Madi. Yeah, nothing unique or interesting, but it’s my name and about the only thing I go by. So there ya go.
I think you guys should definitely do a podcast from comic con, a video would be awesome! And you should dress up! As who exactly, I don’t really know. Anyone would be cool. I’m with Zoe on it, cosplay is lame, but I think it’d be fun. I would be Azula if I went XD. So anyway…yeah, you two are awesome, keep rockin’.

Hey, while listening I decided to randomly comment on things that you guys said. So here I go!
You were talking about Katsari-chan and commented on the whole ‘chan thing’: ‘Chan’ is a tern used for young girls, as opposed to ‘kun’, which is the masculine to ‘chan’. It’s typically used to symbolize friendships or other close relationships.
When they started vacuuming outside the door: Nope, can’t hear the vacuum.
Lightning: Dude, that was like the best thing ever… I was seriously laughing for five minutes straight…
Bobble battles: I’ve played that… it pretty much rocks. Except they lie about the price… it’s like… 6 something for the actual game, but then plus shipping and some other crap it adds up to about 30 bucks…
Sunburn: This is why I stay indoors like a good little hermit. =P
The guy from Disneyland and Boarders: I wanna see that picture now…
Disneyland: I so wanna go to the Disneyland thing… if I could, I’d be Toph. I dunno… I might go. I still have my pass.

And you are so right, Avatar somehow became crap, I don’t know what got into them to be honest, maybe you are right and the characters outgrew the story or the story itself outgrew the creators and their lame ass ending, btw don’t worry about the vacuum I didn’t hear it at all actually…

LOL. My name is pronounced “Yoo-kai Yoo-may”. Zoe got it right the first time. And yes, I’m a girl, and I also live around the Southern California region so Disneyland would be great. Haha. Anyways, when I suggested the whole “To save the world means saving Katara” theory, I don’t even consider it optimistic because let’s face it, yes in the end if you’re going to be faithful to how this actually works, it still doesn’t make sense. But we don’t see it context to the show yet, so we’ll have to wait and see.
But I think the main thing I wanted to say today is actually something avatar related. Mainly an observation I’ve made in regards to maturity level between Zuko and Aang. As we know by now, Zuko is Aang’s contrast. They both suffered quite a bit at the hands of Ozai/Fire nation.
Zuko lost his mother, his throne, he was scarred and banished…
Aang lost his entire culture, his own kind and loved ones.
Their relationships to Ozai are both rooted in turmoil, and yet here’s the thing:
Ozai is essentially a stranger to Aang. He is the face of the enemy, representing a nation that slaughtered his own kin, enslaved other nations, and now a potential destroyer to the world. He has no redeemable qualities and yet for the many lives that would be lost if he remains alive, Aang still refuses to get rid of him because of his religion. Even if swallowing what you’ve learned and lived by your entire life is hard, watching millions of others suffer for your own weakness is even harder.
To Zuko on the other hand, Ozai is father. A father that he had spent his entire life trying to earn the love and approval of, and someone who, at the very heart of it, Zuko probably still wishes would love him. However, Zuko is able to willingly let his Father die if he has to, in order to save the world. If he had to, I feel that Zuko would also do it himself.
In the end, Zuko is more mature to know what really has to be done. After all that had suffered and learned, he finally gets it, and if you think about it, he’s given up a lot more than Aang ever did in order to do the right thing: His country, his throne, his pride, the girl he loved…You could say that Zuko himself has already given up all of his earthly attachments for the greater good.
Aang only had to give up two of those things: Pride and the girl he loved. And I think that the reason he can’t is that he doesn’t really KNOW what it means to suffer. All of his suffering was wiped away because he had someone there to support him. Zuko had no one, isolated himself for the most part, and learned on his own. All this boils down to one thing that we already know:
Aang still had a lot of growing to do. He still doesn’t fully understand what it really means to be the Avatar, and his biggest attachment is his Naiveté, and childish optimism/innocence.
BTW, in regards to the sea lion turtle, I guess you could call it random, but I think Bryke were trying to hint and set it up since season two. When the gang went to go visit the library, Aang was looking through some scrolls and saw a drawing of a giant sea lion turtle in one of them. Not that it makes things any better, but…
And Jay? (HUG) you sound like a handsome and sexay beast. The girls will be all over you soon, so don’t fret. We all love you .

Ok Youkai, you get mad props for that shpeal. Regardless of what our next podcast is about, we’re most definetely bringing that topic up. You said a lot of good shit in there, and we’ll put in our two cents (or is it sense?) as well.
I had an awesome list going, and then my laptop decided to restart, and then I lost it, and now I’m pissed. So here I go again in attempt to remake it. Oh, and in the case of the t-shirts, I’ll totally make them for free and ship them out to whoever wants one come July. All I do ask is that you pay for shipping, lol, especially if you live in some crazy place like Fiji or something.

Okay, this seems totally stalker-ish (well I already stalk Irrel’s dA - Zoë, right? Sorry, I only just started listening to these) but I really want to meet you guys, at the SDCC & Disneyland. I live so freaking close to both of them. I have like two Avatard friends IRL and none of them ship! So it’s really not fun. Actually, I probably can’t go to SDCC but it’d be really great if you guys took HQ pictures of cosplayers

S’ok Ruby, there are so many damn Zutarians out there (which is a MAJOR hint that Zutara should fucking happen).
And no worries about the stalker-ness, since we’re all actually a bit stalker in all honesty. A few of us are meeting at Con but I’m sure we can meet at Disneyland or something, since it’s a nice, safe, public place free of rape and murder and ultimate happiness, am I right?
